Senior Consultant - Business Development

Business Development Activities:

Assessments of opportunities and target markets, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, generating leads for possible sales

  • Develop guidelines and procedures for the ARINSO Canadian team to support the implementation of BC-HRT best practices.
  • Establish alignment and focus with respective Sales Teams and ensure shared vision (translating strategy and tactics into actionable behavior by the field sales team).
  • Identify, monitor and evaluate strategies to eliminate or minimize the risks associate with specific project.
  • Act as the key liaison with Sales Teams, as well as business unit managers, to promote the HRT value added offer.
  • Provide strategic direction for the planning, design, development, and implementation of HRT “products”.
  • Create, justify and manage the HRT operating budget within company guidelines.
  • To support the Directors in representing the interests of HRT to clients and the CEO in achieving organizational objectives.

Personal Development Activities:

Refers to the creation and management of an action plan based on a reflection of personal, and career objectives

  • Oversight the management and performance of team to ensure growth.
  • Manage training programs for team and those involved in particular projects to ensure the proper development of the team.
  • Develop staff for future positions in the organization.
  • Develop and implement specific policies on specific strategic issues.
  • Recruit sufficient skilled staff to carry out the work of the team and ensure that staffing levels are adequate to meet workload.
  • Ensure that staff is adequately supported, trained and guided so that they are able to carry out their work effectively.
  • Monitor and manage the standards of the team.
  • Hold effective one-to-one and team meetings to keep staff informed about developments that affect them and motivated by their role in the success of the organization (ensuring alignment of both organizational and personal goals and objectives).

Profile requirements:

  • Masters degree with a focus in Organizational Behaviour or Business preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills including a proven track record in developing and facilitating workshops and presentations.  (French/English)
  • A team player with a strong commitment to professional and client service excellence with the ability to build solid relationships
  • Previous consulting experience in areas of Organizational Design (OD), Organizational Effectiveness (OE), Change Management and Business Process Analysis
  • Must be willing to travel as required
